Soybean Oil
Obsahuje nenasycené mastné kyseliny, především kyselinu linolovou a olejovou. Neutrální chuť neovlivňuje konečnou chuť pokrmů, což z něj činí univerzální volbu pro studenou i teplou kuchyni.
Soybeans
Soybeans are legumes originating from East Asia and among the richest plant-based sources of protein in the world. Immature green beans, known as edamame, are boiled in their pods and served as a light starter or side dish. Mature dried beans are cooked and used in soups, stews, salads, or further processed into tofu, tempeh, miso, and soy milk. They have a mild, slightly nutty flavour. They are rich in essential amino acids, healthy fats, dietary fibre, iron, and calcium. In Asian cuisine they are a staple ingredient, and in European cooking they are gaining popularity as interest in plant-based diets grows.
Spaghetti
Spaghetti is one of the most famous types of Italian pasta. These long, thin, cylindrical noodles are made from durum wheat flour (semolina) and water. Their name comes from the Italian word 'spago', meaning string or twine. In the kitchen, they are incredibly versatile, they pair well with tomato-based sauces such as bolognese or arrabiata, with olive oil-based sauces such as aglio e olio, and with creamy preparations such as carbonara. They are cooked in salted water until al dente, meaning they retain a slight firmness when bitten. Popular worldwide, spaghetti is a staple of every well-stocked kitchen pantry.
Spaghetti seasoning
Spaghetti seasoning is a ready-made blend of herbs and spices inspired by Italian cuisine, designed for preparing sauces and other spaghetti-based dishes. It typically contains oregano, basil, thyme, garlic, onion, paprika and dried tomatoes. Simply add it to a meat, vegetable or tomato sauce and it immediately gives it a Mediterranean character. It is ideal for preparing Bolognese sauce, Neapolitan spaghetti or other Italian-inspired recipes. With this pre-made blend, there is no need to have dozens of different herbs on hand, everything is contained in one jar, making cooking quick and easy even without culinary experience.
Spaghetti squash
Spaghetti squash is a fascinating vegetable whose flesh, once cooked, separates into strands resembling spaghetti. It originates from North America and belongs to the gourd family. Its flavour is mild, slightly sweet, and neutral, which means it absorbs sauces, seasonings, and toppings beautifully. It is most commonly baked whole in the oven or boiled in water, after which the characteristic strands are scraped out with a fork. It serves as a low-carb alternative to traditional pasta and is popular in gluten-free and healthy cooking. It contains vitamins A and C, dietary fibre, and minerals. It is easy to prepare and visually very impressive.
Sparkling Water
Sparkling water is water containing dissolved carbon dioxide, which gives it characteristic bubbles. It can be natural (mineral spring water with naturally occurring carbonation) or artificially carbonated (table sparkling water). Unlike soda water, which is a purely artificial product used primarily in bartending, sparkling water includes naturally mineralised varieties. In cooking, it is used as a refreshing drink, a base for lemonades and spritzes, and as an ingredient in batters where the bubbles add lightness. It is served chilled with meals as an alternative to still water.
Speck
Bacon is smoked or cured pork, most commonly from the belly, back or jowl of the pig. It is characterised by a distinctive combination of fatty and meaty layers and an intense smoky flavour. In the kitchen it is used as a base for sautéing vegetables and onions, and is added to soups, sauces, dumplings, potatoes or as a garnish for finished dishes. It can be fried until crispy or added raw. Popular varieties include Italian pancetta, German Schwarzwälder Speck and traditional home-smoked bacon. It is an important ingredient in traditional Czech and Central European cuisine. When selecting, pay attention to the fat-to-meat ratio according to your recipe.
Špekáček (Czech Sausage)
Špekáček je tradiční česká masová klobása vyrobená z jemně mletého vepřového masa smíchaného s kousky sádla, ochucená solí, pepřem a kořením.
Spelt flakes
Spelt flakes are made from whole spelt grains that are steamed and flattened into flake form. They are an excellent alternative to oat flakes and are great for breakfast as porridge or muesli. They have a pleasant nutty flavour and are a rich source of dietary fibre, protein, B vitamins, and minerals. They can be added to smoothies, homemade granola, muesli bars, or baked goods. Thanks to their high fibre content, they keep you full for longer. They are suitable for those who prefer whole grain foods, but they are not gluten-free. Preparation is simple, just pour hot milk or water over them and wait a few minutes.
Spelt flour
Spelt flour is made from spelt wheat, one of the oldest cereal grains cultivated by humans. Compared to conventional wheat flour, spelt flour contains more protein, fibre, minerals (magnesium, zinc, iron), and B vitamins. This flour has a slightly nutty flavour that gives baked goods an interesting character. It is used to make bread, rolls, cakes, pancakes, pasta, and biscuits. Suitable for people with sensitivity to modern wheat, it is not gluten-free. Thanks to its nutritional value and good baking properties, spelt flour is gaining an increasing number of fans in both home and professional kitchens.
Spelt pasta shells
Spelt pasta shells are a type of pasta shaped like small seashells, made from spelt flour. They combine the advantages of a classic Italian pasta shape with the nutritional benefits of spelt, a higher content of protein, fibre, and minerals compared to common wheat. Their shape is ideal for capturing thick sauces, creamy dressings, and small ingredients such as peas or vegetable pieces. They are popular in children's cooking and among health-conscious eaters. They cook in salted water for approximately 8-10 minutes. They are suitable for soups, salads, and as a side dish to meat-based meals.
