Spelt flakes are made from whole spelt grains that are steamed and flattened into flake form. They are an excellent alternative to oat flakes and are great for breakfast as porridge or muesli. They have a pleasant nutty flavour and are a rich source of dietary fibre, protein, B vitamins, and minerals. They can be added to smoothies, homemade granola, muesli bars, or baked goods. Thanks to their high fibre content, they keep you full for longer. They are suitable for those who prefer whole grain foods, but they are not gluten-free. Preparation is simple, just pour hot milk or water over them and wait a few minutes.
