Greek yogurt - creamy and protein-rich
Greek yogurt is made by straining regular yogurt to remove excess whey. The result is a significantly thicker and creamier product with higher protein content and lower sugar content. In Greece, it is known as straggisto and is an indispensable part of local cuisine. It is used to prepare tzatziki, served with honey and walnuts, or as a base for meat marinades. Thanks to its consistency, it makes an excellent substitute for sour cream in many recipes.
