Step by step process

Preparation

  1. 1

Brew 120 ml of fresh espresso, pour into a bowl, and quickly chill over ice so it isn't hot.

  2. 2

Chill the cocktail glasses in the freezer for at least 5 minutes for better texture and a stable foam.

Mixing

  1. 3

Fill the shaker to the top with ice so the ingredients are thoroughly chilled and aerated.

  2. 4

Measure the vodka, coffee liqueur, chilled espresso, and sugar syrup, then pour everything into the shaker.

  3. 5

Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until condensation appears on the shaker and a rich, fine foam forms.

Serving

  1. 6

Strain the cocktail through a fine sieve into 4 chilled glasses without ice and evenly distribute the foam.

    TIP:

When pouring from a shaker, use a double strainer: first a fine strainer, then a filter with an even finer mesh. The result is a cleaner drink and smoother foam.

  2. 7

Garnish the surface of each cocktail with three coffee beans and serve immediately.

More tips:

For a more pronounced foam, use freshly brewed espresso with good crema and shake with more ice.

No sugar syrup? Dissolve a teaspoon of sugar in hot espresso and let it cool completely.
