Grapes

Hroznové víno

Grapes are the fruit of the grapevine (Vitis vinifera) and are among the most widely consumed fruits in the world. They are characterised by juicy flesh, a sweet to mildly tart flavour, and come in green, red or dark blue varieties. In the kitchen, they are used fresh in fruit salads, desserts, cheese boards and tapas platters. They can also be dried into raisins, pressed into juice, made into jam or turned into vinegar. Grapes are rich in sugars, vitamin C, potassium and antioxidants, particularly resveratrol found in dark varieties. They are also popular as an attractive garnish for various dishes.
