Cold brew coffee

zastupny-ingredience

Cold brew coffee is a concentrate made by steeping coarsely ground coffee in cold water for a long time (typically 12-24 hours). Cold extraction makes it less acidic and bitter than hot-brewed coffee, with a subtly sweet, chocolatey-nutty profile and smooth taste. It is used as a base for iced drinks, coffee cocktails, desserts, creams, and ice cream, or as an espresso substitute in cold recipes. Store refrigerated for several days.
