    Measure the required amount of oats and milk. Peel the banana and slice it, some goes into the porridge for sweetness, the rest is for topping when serving.

    Prepare the butter, maple syrup, and ground cinnamon. Have everything ready so you can flavor and adjust the porridge to your taste while cooking.

    In a saucepan, bring the milk and a pinch of salt to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, add the oats, reduce the heat, and stir continuously with a whisk or spoon to prevent sticking.

    When cooking grains in milk or water, first bring the liquid to a boil, then reduce the heat and stir regularly to prevent the porridge from burning and to keep it smooth and creamy.
