Korean mint
Korean mint (Agastache rugosa), also known as banhajeop or wrinkled giant hyssop, is a perennial herb of the mint family native to East Asia. Its leaves have a distinct anise-mint flavor with subtle licorice notes and are used in soups, salads, sauces, and teas. In Korea it is indispensable in traditional dishes like maeuntang (fish soup), pajeon (savory pancake), and banchan. In Europe it is also cultivated as a melliferous ornamental plant attracting bees and butterflies.
