Coffee Liqueur
Coffee liqueur is an alcoholic beverage with a strong coffee flavour and typically a sweet, slightly syrupy consistency. The best-known brands include Kahlúa and Tia Maria. In the kitchen, it is used to flavour desserts such as tiramisu, chocolate cakes, panna cotta and ice cream. It also pairs wonderfully with coffee, cocktails like Espresso Martini, or milk-based drinks. Its intense coffee aroma and sweet taste enhance the flavour of chocolate and nut-based preparations. The alcohol content is usually between 20 and 26%. When used in cooking, part of the alcohol evaporates, leaving behind only the characteristic aroma.
