Juicy Turkey Burger with Avocado

Avocado Sauce

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Add lime juice, crushed garlic, salt, and pepper. Mash with a fork into a smooth creamy sauce - the base of every turkey burger with avocado. Taste and add a little more lime if needed.
Turkey Patties

Place the ground turkey in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Work the meat as little as possible - overmixing will make tough patties. With wet hands, shape 4 patties about 10 cm in diameter. Make a slight indent in the center of each patty with your thumb - the patty won't puff up during cooking.

Heat rapeseed oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes on each side until cooked through. Cover with a lid for the last 2 minutes.
Assembling the Burgers

Slice the buns in half and toast dry in a pan until golden. Spread avocado sauce on the bottom half, add lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and red onion rings. Place the cooked patty on top, spread with mayonnaise, and close with the top bun half.
More tips:
Handle the meat as little as possible, overmixing makes the patties tough.
Press a dimple into each patty so it does not puff up while cooking.
