Avocado Chocolate Mousse
Ingredients
Step by step process
Preparation
- 1
Cut the avocados in half lengthwise, remove the pits, peel them, and place the flesh in a blender. These two avocados will make a silky avocado chocolate mousse for 4 servings.
- 2
Measure out the cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and almond milk so you can blend everything smoothly without interruption.
- 3
Wash and dry raspberries for decoration and prepare dark chocolate in fine shavings or small pieces.
Blending
- 4
Pour the cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and almond milk over the avocado in the blender and blend smooth for 30-60 seconds until it turns silky and creamy with no lumps.
- 5
Taste, add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor, and adjust sweetness with more maple syrup or consistency with a little extra almond milk if needed.
- 6
Use a spatula to scrape the sides of the container and blend briefly again until it is exceptionally smooth and airy with no lumps.
Serving
- 7
Divide the dessert into four glasses or bowls and, if desired, chill for 15-20 minutes for a firmer texture.
- 8
Before serving, top with raspberries and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings. Serve chilled.
