Pomelo
Pomelo is the largest fruit in the citrus family (Citrus maxima), native to Southeast Asia. It resembles a large grapefruit but has a thicker rind, a sweeter and less bitter flavor, and very juicy flesh. It typically weighs between 0.5 and 2 kg. In the kitchen, it is used fresh, the flesh is added to fruit salads, desserts, smoothies, or served alongside seafood and poultry. It works particularly well in Asian-style salads, where it can be combined with mint, chilli, and shrimp. Pomelo is an excellent source of vitamin C, potassium, and dietary fiber. It can be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
