Tahini - Sesame Paste
Tahini is a paste made from ground toasted sesame seeds with a smooth, pourable consistency and a subtly nutty flavour. It is produced by grinding the seeds on stone mills.
It is the base for hummus, baba ganoush, and falafel sauce. It is also used in halva. Tahini is rich in calcium, iron, and unsaturated fats.
