Parmesan - the king of Italian cheeses (Parmigiano-Reggiano)

Parmesan (Parmigiano-Reggiano) is an Italian hard cheese made from unpasteurised cow's milk. Aged for a minimum of 12 months, with the finest varieties 24 to 36 months. Has a granular texture and intense umami flavour. Used grated over pasta, risotto, and salads. Holds European DOP designation of origin.
