Slivovice

Slivovitz is a traditional fruit brandy made from plums, typical of Central and Eastern Europe. Its alcohol content usually ranges between 45 and 60%. In the kitchen, it is used to flavour desserts such as plum cakes, filled chocolates or fruit sauces. It also works well in marinades for game and dark meats, deepening the flavour profile. It can be added to mulled wine or punches. Its characteristic taste is distinctly fruity with a gently warming finish and a pleasant plum aroma.
