Orange Bell Pepper

Oranžová paprika

Orange bell pepper is the fruit of Capsicum annuum, distinguished by its vivid orange colour and pleasantly sweet, fruity flavour. Compared to green pepper it is noticeably sweeter and less bitter, while its aroma is more delicate than that of red pepper. It contains high amounts of vitamin C, beta-carotene and antioxidants. In the kitchen it is highly versatile, it works raw in salads, on the grill, in stir-fries, braised or stuffed as a standalone dish. Its colour also makes it an attractive plate garnish. It pairs well with mozzarella, basil, chicken and seafood.
