Milk chocolate is made by combining cocoa mass, cocoa butter, milk or milk powder and sugar. Its cocoa content typically ranges between 25-45%. It has a gentle, sweet and creamy flavour with less pronounced bitterness than dark chocolate. In the kitchen, it is used for baking biscuits, brownies and muffins, for making pralines, chocolate creams, fondue or as a coating. It burns more easily than dark chocolate, so care is needed when melting. It also works well for decorations, dipping and dessert sauces. It is especially popular with children and as an ingredient in creamy desserts.
