Mexican Seasoning

Mexické koření

Mexican seasoning is an aromatic spice blend inspired by Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine. It typically contains ground chilli, cumin, coriander, garlic powder, oregano, paprika and salt. It is used to season meat, particularly beef, chicken or pork, when preparing tacos, burritos, fajitas, quesadillas or enchiladas. It also works well in soups, bean dishes, sauces and marinades. The flavour profile is spicy, earthy and slightly smoky. The exact composition varies by brand, so the heat level can differ considerably. A homemade version can easily be made by mixing individual spices in the desired ratio and adjusting to personal taste.
