Ground walnuts are finely milled walnut kernels widely used in cooking and baking. Their rich, slightly bitter and buttery flavour enhances desserts, cakes, strudels and sweet fillings. They work wonderfully in gingerbread dough, shortbread cookies, or as a topping for ice cream and yogurt. Combined with honey and cinnamon, they make an excellent filling for pastry rolls or strudel. Beyond sweet dishes, ground walnuts can be added to sauces, pesto or meat marinades. They are an excellent source of healthy fats, protein, vitamin E and antioxidants, making them a nutritious addition to any diet.
