Grand Marnier
Grand Marnier is a French liqueur based on cognac and distilled bitter orange extract, produced since 1880. It has a pronounced orange aroma, a gently bitter flavour and an alcohol content of 40%. The best-known variety is Cordon Rouge. In the kitchen, it is widely used to flavour desserts, crepes Suzette, soufflé, chocolate fondue and fruit salads. It is also added to sauces for meat, particularly poultry and duck. It works excellently in cocktails such as the Margarita or Cosmopolitan. The combination of cognac and orange flavour makes it an irreplaceable ingredient in premium recipes.
