Chicken

Chicken is one of the most popular and widely consumed poultry meats in the world. Thanks to its mild flavour and versatility, it is suitable for a countless variety of dishes, from soups and broths to roasts, grills, and wok cooking. Chicken meat is low in fat and rich in protein, B vitamins, and minerals such as selenium and phosphorus. A whole chicken can be roasted whole or broken down into parts, breasts, thighs, drumsticks, wings, or a carcass for stock. Proper heat treatment is important for food safety, chicken should always be cooked through to a core temperature of at least 74 °C.
