Tofu is a food made by coagulating soy milk, also known as bean curd. It originates from China, where it has been produced for over 2,000 years. It comes in many consistencies, from silken tofu suitable for soups to extra-firm tofu ideal for grilling and frying. Tofu is a key component of vegetarian and vegan diets.
