Prosecco, Italian sparkling wine

Prosecco is a popular Italian sparkling wine made from the Glera grape in the Veneto and Friuli regions. Unlike Champagne, it is produced using the Charmat method, where secondary fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks.

Prosecco is characterised by a fresh, fruity flavour with notes of green apple and white flowers. There are three quality levels: DOC, DOCG, and Cartizze.
