Topinky - Czech garlic toast

Topinky are a traditional Czech dish of fried bread rubbed with garlic. Made from thick slices of dark rye bread, fried in oil or lard until golden and crispy. Traditional topinky are served hot, rubbed with garlic and sprinkled with salt. In Czech pubs, they are the most popular beer snack. Variations with cheese or sweet versions dipped in egg also exist.
