Rapeseed oil - healthy and versatile

Rapeseed oil is one of the most widely used vegetable oils in European cuisine. It is obtained by pressing rapeseed and excels with its favorable ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids. Refined rapeseed oil has a neutral taste and high smoke point (approximately 230°C), making it ideal for frying and baking. The cold-pressed variety has a more pronounced nutty flavor and is suited for salads. It contains vitamin E and phytosterols that contribute to lowering cholesterol levels.
