Frikadellen - German meatballs
Frikadellen are made from ground beef and pork mixed with soaked bread, egg, onion and seasoning. They are shaped into flat patties and pan-fried until they develop a golden crust.
In Berlin they are called Buletten, in Bavaria Fleischpflanzerl. They are served warm or cold, with potato salad or in a bread roll as a snack.
