Digestif - the after-dinner drink

A digestif is an alcoholic drink served after a meal to aid digestion. The tradition dates back to antiquity. The most well-known digestifs include brandy, cognac, grappa, and calvados, as well as herbal liqueurs like Fernet. Served at room temperature in small glasses. They are an important part of the gastronomic culture of many countries.
