Common carp - traditional Christmas Eve fish

Common carp is a freshwater fish from the Cyprinidae family, farmed in Central Europe since the Middle Ages. The most widely farmed fish in the region and a Christmas Eve symbol in Czech, Slovak, and Polish traditions. Has delicate white flesh with a slightly sweet flavor. Prepared fried, baked, poached, or as soup.
