Balsamic vinegar - Italian treasure

Balsamic vinegar, fully named aceto balsamico, is an Italian vinegar from the Emilia-Romagna region. It is made from cooked grape must aged in wooden barrels. Traditional balsamic from Modena ages for a minimum of 12 years. It has a dark color, thick consistency, and a complex sweet-sour flavor. It is used to season salads, grilled meats, cheeses, and desserts.
