Zurek - Polish Sour Rye Soup

Zurek is one of the most original Polish soups made from rye sourdough (zakwas), which gives it a sour taste. It contains white sausage, hard-boiled egg, potatoes and garlic.

It is traditionally served in a bread bowl (a hollowed-out loaf). Zurek is part of the Easter table and ranks among the most popular Polish soups throughout the year.
