Zhajiangmian, Beijing Noodles

Zhajiangmian is one of the most popular noodle dishes in Beijing. Thick wheat noodles are served with a rich sauce made from fermented bean paste (tianmianjiang) and ground pork stir-fried in a wok.

The dish is served with strips of fresh vegetables, cucumber, radish, green beans, and soybean sprouts. Variations can be found across East Asia, including the Korean version jajangmyeon.
