Tacu Tacu - Peruvian rice and bean patty

Tacu Tacu is an example of Peruvian creativity. Rice and beans from the previous day are mixed, seasoned and pan-fried into a crispy patty with a golden crust and a soft center.

The name comes from the Quechua word takuy (to mix). It has roots in Afro-Peruvian cuisine. It is served with egg, steak or seafood as a main course.
