Svíčková sauce - Czech classic

Svíčková sauce is one of the most famous dishes of Czech cuisine. The base consists of root vegetables, carrot, celery, parsley root, and onion, which are braised with beef sirloin, spices, and vinegar. After cooking, the vegetables are blended and softened with cream to a smooth creamy consistency. It is traditionally served with bread dumplings, cranberries, and a slice of lemon. Every Czech family has their own recipe, and svíčková is considered a true symbol of Czech gastronomy.
