Slovak Potato Fritters - crispy golden patties
Slovak potato fritters are traditional Slovak potato patties. They are made from grated raw potatoes mixed with flour, egg, salt and pepper. Sometimes garlic or marjoram is added.
The fritters are fried in oil or lard until golden on both sides. They are served as a snack, a side to meat or with sour cream. They are related to Czech bramboráky but the Slovak version tends to be simpler and thinner.
