Samgyeopsal means three-layered meat - thick slices of pork belly grilled without marinade. They are served with lettuce leaves used to wrap the meat with garlic and ssamjang sauce.
In Korea, March 3rd is the unofficial Samgyeopsal Day. It is a quintessential dish for evening gatherings with friends, often paired with soju (Korean spirit).
