Rice noodles - a staple of Asian cuisine

Rice noodles are one of the most common types of noodles in Asian cuisine. Made from rice flour and water, these noodles are naturally gluten-free. Divided by width, they include thin vermicelli (bún) and wide flat noodles (phở). Preparation involves soaking in hot water for a few minutes or brief boiling. With a neutral taste, they absorb the flavors of sauces, spices, and other ingredients excellently. An essential part of Vietnamese pho soup and Thai pad thai, these noodles are versatile.
