Ramen - Japanese noodle soup

Ramen consists of four components: broth, noodles, toppings, and flavoured oil. There are four types: shoyu (soy sauce), shio (salt), miso, and tonkotsu (pork bone).

A quality broth is simmered for 12-24 hours. Toppings include chashu (braised pork), marinated egg, nori, and bamboo shoots called menma.
