Zaklechtka is a traditional Czech term for fruit preserved in sweet syrup. Most commonly plums, pears, cherries, or apricots canned with sugar and spices. Served as dessert, a side to meat, or pastry filling. Preparing preserves was a key part of autumn household traditions.
