Pischinger - layered wafer cake with praline filling

Pischinger is a layered wafer cake or slice. Thin wafers are bound together with a chocolate-hazelnut (praline) filling and the whole is coated in chocolate. Created in 1881 by confectioner Oscar Pischinger (Original Pischinger Torte), it is of Viennese origin. Widespread in Czechia and Slovakia, it is not a sponge cake and is not fat-free.
