Pão de Queijo - Brazilian cheese bread rolls

Pão de Queijo ("cheese bread") are small round rolls that are among the most popular snacks in Brazil. They are made from tapioca flour (polvilho), eggs, oil, and cheese, most commonly queijo minas. Thanks to tapioca flour, they are naturally gluten-free. On the outside they have a crispy crust, while inside they are soft and stretchy. Pão de Queijo originates from Minas Gerais and today can be found in every Brazilian bakery, café, and supermarket.
