Manakish is a Lebanese yeasted flatbread baked in a hot oven. The most classic is manoushe bi za'atar, topped with a mix of thyme, sumac, and sesame with olive oil.
Other variations include bi jibneh (with cheese) and bi lahmeh (with meat). Manakish is the most popular breakfast in Lebanon, often folded in half like a pocket.
