Lasagne, Italian oven-baked classic

Lasagne is one of the most beloved Italian dishes. Flat pasta sheets are layered with meat ragù bolognese, béchamel sauce, and Parmesan, then baked in the oven until golden.

It originates from the Emilia-Romagna region. The traditional version uses homemade egg pasta, beef and pork ragù, and béchamel. In southern Italy, ricotta replaces béchamel. Lasagne tastes even better the next day.
