Labneh - Strained Yogurt Cheese
Labneh is a yogurt cheese made from full-fat yogurt strained through cloth for 24 to 48 hours. The result is a creamy thick spread with a gently tangy flavour between yogurt and cheese.
It is served for breakfast with olive oil and za'atar. Popular are labneh balls preserved in olive oil with herbs. It is a rich source of probiotics.
