Korma, creamy Indian curry

Korma is a mild Indian curry known for its creamy, rich sauce. Unlike most Indian dishes it is not spicy, its flavour is built on the smoothness of nuts, yoghurt and cream with aromatic spices.

The sauce is prepared from ground cashews or almonds, yoghurt, cardamom, cinnamon and saffron. Korma originates from Mughal cuisine and was a dish of royal courts. It is prepared with chicken, lamb or paneer.
