Harira - Moroccan soup

Harira is inseparably linked to Ramadan, when it is served to break the fast (iftar). It contains lentils, chickpeas, tomatoes, meat, and spices including ginger, cinnamon, and turmeric.

It is thickened with a tedouira mixture (flour and water) for a silky consistency. Served alongside dates and sesame pastry chebakia.
