Galbi - Korean grilled ribs

Galbi are grilled beef short ribs ranked among the most prized dishes in Korean cuisine. They are cut crosswise through the bone (LA galbi style) and marinated in soy sauce, garlic and grated pear.

Galbi was historically a dish for the nobility. It is served with rice, banchan and lettuce leaves. The dwaeji galbi variant made from pork ribs is also popular.
