Fusilli, spiral pasta

Fusilli are a popular Italian pasta with a distinctive spiral shape. Their twists excellently capture sauce, making them a versatile choice for many Italian dishes.

The name comes from the Italian word fuso (spindle). Fusilli originate from southern Italy, particularly Campania. They pair well with light sauces like pesto as well as rich meat ragù. Coloured varieties also exist, such as green with spinach or red with tomato.
