Fajitas - grilled meat with tortillas

Fajitas originated in Tex-Mex cuisine as a rancher's meal. The meat is marinated and grilled over high heat together with peppers and onions. Everything is served on a sizzling hot cast-iron plate.

Fajitas are accompanied by wheat tortillas, guacamole, salsa and cheese. Everyone assembles their own dish. The most popular are chicken and beef fajitas, but they are also prepared with shrimp.
