Dakgalbi - spicy chicken stir-fry

Dakgalbi is chicken stir-fried on a large pan at the table. It is marinated in a spicy gochujang sauce with cabbage, sweet potatoes and tteok (rice cakes).

It originates from the city of Chuncheon, where it was created in the 1960s as an affordable alternative to beef galbi. At the end, rice is added and fried in the remaining sauce.
