Chow Mein, Stir-Fried Wok Noodles
Chow mein is one of the most well-known Chinese dishes worldwide. It consists of stir-fried noodles prepared in a wok together with vegetables, meat, or seafood. The noodles are first boiled and then briefly stir-fried over high heat.
There are two basic styles, crispy chow mein, where noodles are fried until golden, and soft chow mein, where they remain tender. It is seasoned with soy sauce and sesame oil.
